Equipment Overview
The TRIO CT4254 is a heavy-duty single-toggle jaw crusher widely used in mining, quarrying, aggregate production, and recycling for primary and secondary crushing of hard rock, ores, and demolition material. Its robust cast-steel frame and high-inertia eccentric shaft deliver consistent throughput under continuous duty.
The crushing chamber is formed by two opposing wear surfaces — the fixed jaw (stationary) and the swing jaw (reciprocating). Material is compressed and fractured between them on every stroke. Surrounding these liners, a set of supporting and clamping components keeps the wear parts seated, aligned, and tensioned so the crusher runs safely at full capacity. The seven parts listed below cover the complete wear and structural interface set for the CT4254 jaw module:
- Fixed Jaw & Swing Jaw – the primary crushing surfaces (manganese liners).
- Wedge Die, Swing (LH/RH) – clamps and locks the swing jaw liner to the swing jaw body.
- Upper / Lower Cheek Plates (RH/LH) – side liners that protect the crusher frame from abrasion.
- Wedge Block (TRIO17003948) – the hold-down / tension component that maintains liner position and crushing gap.
Available Parts List
| No. | Part Name | Part Number | Model | Function | Weight (kg) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Swing Jaw Plate | TRIO17052179 | CT4254 | Movable crushing surface mounted on the swing jaw; the high-impact wear liner that does most of the comminution work. | 2,857 |
| 2 | Fixed Jaw Plate | TRIO17052178 | CT4254 | Stationary crushing surface; the fixed wear liner against which rock is compressed and fractured. Directly determines product shape and reduction ratio. | 2,990 |
| 3 | Wedge Die, Swing LH | TRIO17003911 | CT4254 | Left-hand clamping wedge that locks the swing jaw liner firmly against the swing jaw body, maintaining crushing force and preventing liner movement. | 50.8 |
| 4 | Wedge Die, Swing RH | TRIO17003912 | CT4254 | Right-hand clamping wedge that locks the swing jaw liner firmly against the swing jaw body, maintaining crushing force and preventing liner movement. | 50.8 |
| 5 | Low Cheek Plate, LH | TRIO17003942 | CT4254 | Left-hand lower side liner protecting the frame at the discharge side; replacement restores proper chamber alignment. | 271 |
| 6 | Upper Cheek Plate, RH | TRIO17003941 | CT4254 | Right-hand upper side liner that shields the crusher frame from abrasive material flow, extending frame service life. | 387 |
| 7 | Wedge Block | TRIO17003948 | CT4254 | Hold-down / tension block that maintains liner position and crushing gap, securing the wear parts under operational load. |
Material & Manufacturing
All wear liners in this set are produced from high-manganese steel (Mn13 / Mn18Cr2) selected for its work-hardening behaviour — the surface grows harder under impact, giving excellent abrasion resistance in hard-rock service. Cheek plates and wedge components use cast carbon / low-alloy steel with precision machining for accurate fit.
Manufacturing follows a controlled process route:
- Pattern & casting – resin sand moulding with controlled chemistry and pouring.
- Heat treatment – water quenching and tempering to develop the required hardness and toughness.
- Machining & inspection – critical faces and bolt holes machined to drawing; dimensions, hardness, and surface checked.
- QC release – only parts passing inspection are packed and shipped.
