With a 1060 × 700 mm (42 × 28 in) jaw opening, the C106 delivers high throughput in a small footprint and is widely used as a primary stage in both stationary and track-mounted plants. Each plate is then precision-machined on the back face, bolt-hole pattern and edge profile to ensure a perfect fit with the C106 jaw crusher frame and to match the original swing geometry of the machine.
Metso C106 jaw plates are used in primary crushing of granite, basalt, gneiss, quartzite, iron ore, copper ore, gold ore, limestone and other medium-hard to hard rock. The crushing chamber is formed by two opposing wear surfaces — the fixed jaw (stationary) and the swing jaw (reciprocating). Material is compressed and fractured between them on every stroke. Surrounding these liners, a set of supporting and clamping components keeps the wear parts seated, aligned, and tensioned so the crusher runs safely at full capacity.
